Firstly I'd like to say that overall we are happy with the Elite 8, it's put together well and it is roomy, (although I think 8 might be a little over optimistic). We bought ours in July 2017 and went camping a week later, the tent is easily erected and can be done by one adult. But... 3 nights into out 7 night holiday we had a heavy breeze, not a strong wind at only 20mph (Met Office) but enough to snap 4 out of the 5 poles, (4x 11mm and 1x 13mm sections). I've ordered new sections (£33) from Eurohike as I wish to use the tent again. Kids were really not happy with a cancelled holiday though!
